Hokkaido Route 966 (Tokachi mountain route) Winter Closure

From 11:00 on October 22, 2020 (Thursday), the Tokachidake-Biei section of Hokkaido Route 966  will be closed for winter. The closed road runs from Shirogane Gate to Tokachidake Bougakudai Gate.

With the road closure, it is no longer possible to travel between Biei Shirogane Onsen and Tokachidake Onsen, until 11:00 on April 22, 2021 (current estimate).
